The code for the Moon phase calculations appeared in Astronomical Computing, Sky & Telescope, March, 1985. The code also appeared in an article by Bradley Schaefer for Sky & Telescope on April 1994, page 86. The Basic source code was obtained from the Sky Publishing Web Site and converted to Objective C.
